Dr. Allos is a clinician-educator at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.  She is actively engaged in the practice of clinical infectious diseases

and in teaching Microbiology in the school of medicine.  Her research interests have focused on foodborne illnesses, in particular Campylobacter jejuni i

nfection as a trigger of the Guillain-Barre syndrome.  She also is interested in immunization policy and is a member of the Center for Disease Control and

Prevention (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices and the chair of that organization’s Influenza work group. 

Dr. Allos has recently been focused on undergraduate medical education at Vanderbilt with leadership roles in curriculum revision and course design, as well as lecturing and bed-side teaching.
